The green light has been given for a phone mast to be installed in a residential street in Letchworth.
North Herts Council has raised no objection to BT installing a 10-metre-high wooden pole for broadband electronic communications on a grass verge in North Avenue.
Openreach, on behalf of BT, had written to the council, giving them 28 days to provide written notice of "any reasonable conditions" it wished to be considered in respect of the proposed installation.
The council said it has "no objection to the siting and appearance of this proposal".
The application site is a grass verge outside somebody's home, opposite Norton Methodist Church and next to the footpath between North Avenue and Norton Road.
