Hitchin's Molly-Mae Hague has announced she has split from her long-term boyfriend and boxer Tommy Fury.
She said she is "extremely sad" to share the news, which she revealed in a post on her Instagram stories today (August 14).
The 25-year-old told her 7.9 million followers: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
“After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I’m extremely sad to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.
“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right.”
Molly-Mae grew up in Hitchin and attended the Priory School. At the age of 16, she appealed to The Comet readers for their help in launching her career, having won the Miss Teen Hertfordshire pageant.
She needed sponsorship to compete in the Miss Teen Great Britain final in Blackpool when she was a student at the London Fashion Academy, going on to win the award before travelling to Macau, China for the World Supermodel Production international final.
Molly-Mae rose to fame in 2019, when she was a late arrival into the Love Island villa during series five.
She quickly coupled with Tommy and the pair finished as runners-up of the ITV2 reality TV dating show, before welcoming their first child, Bambi, in January 2023.
They recently starred in the Netflix reality series At Home With The Furys together with Tommy's half-brother and fellow boxer, Tyson Fury.
Tommy is yet to publicly comment on their relationship ending.
