Morris dancers in Hertfordshire will say goodbye to summer this week with performances along Leys Avenue.

Letchworth Morris, which has more than 30 members, will be dancing from 8pm on Thursday, August 15, after a busy season of appearances in and around the county.

They will then take a break until their next practice session at Wilbury Hall, Letchworth on September 12.

Always on the lookout for new talent, the group welcomes all, irrespective of their expertise in Morris dancing.

Practice sessions held every Thursday from September through May teach all dances from scratch, followed by a visit to a local pub.

Established in 1922 and a founding member of the Morris Ring since 1934, Letchworth Morris is distinctively recognised for promoting traditional Morris dancing events across the UK.
