A campaign has launched to break the cycle of domestic abuse and give babies a better start in life.
The Stevenage-based For Baby's Sake Trust launched the Baby Steps campaign as part of Helping Herts' Great Big Walk for Herts 2024, which is scheduled for September 28.
The walk features a 13-mile course through the scenic Herts countryside, supporting 12 Herts charities for children of all ages.
Lauren Seager Smith, CEO of The For Baby's Sake Trust, said: "We are incredibly proud to be part of the Great Big Walk for Herts 2024.
"Our Baby Steps Campaign is about more than just raising funds; it's about coming together as a community to support families and give babies the best possible start in life.
"Every step we take and every donation we receive helps break the cycle of domestic abuse and builds a brighter future for the next generation."
Residents can participate by joining the 13-mile walk or by donating, with Helping Herts matching the funding.
Supporters are also urged to walk with a baby or child a mile a day throughout September, and to share pictures and videos of babies' first steps or milestones on social media.
