As the sunny weather arrives and the kids enjoy their summer break, you might be on the hunt to find some places to cool down.
Luckily, across Hertfordshire, there are a number of outdoor swimming pools and water park centres that let you relax and swim in the summer sun.

Letchworth Lido
Location: Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City SG6 4UF
Letchworth Lido is home to an outdoor pool, a 50m heated pool and a smaller teaching pool set around Letchworth’s Norton Common.
The lido also offers a sunbathing area that lets you "relax, unwind and maybe even have something to eat or drink from our café".
Prices for the lido start at £3.60 for children while infants are free and for adults costs £7.20 and you do need to pre-book.
One guest said: "Great place to sunbathe and swim on a warm day - does get v busy on peak heatwave days so I prefer to go on quieter day."
Priory Lido
Location: Priory St, Ware SG12 0DE
The Priory Lido in Ware is operated by Ware Town Council and The Priory Charity as a lido along with a 30m main pool and a smaller teaching pool.
There is also seating and grassed areas, where swimmers and spectators can happily sunbathe and eat picnics, surrounding the pools.
Prices start at £3.75 for children and adult tickets cost £6.75.
One guest said: "A fantastic 30m main pool, heated to around 27°, and spotlessly clean. The pool itself was refurbished a couple of years ago and the tank looks immaculate."
Hitchin Swimming Centre
Location: Hitchin Swimming Pool, Fishponds Rd, Hitchin SG5 1HA
Hitchin Swimming Centre shares that they have "something for everyone" adding that they offer a whole range of sports and activities available.
The centre has two swimming pools indoor and outdoor where the whole family can enjoy the weather and pool.
One guest said: "The best outdoor pool around Herts. Great for putting in exercise or having fun with the family in. 50 metres long and always decently heated in the open season."
Chesham Open Air Pool
Location: Chesham Moor Gym & Swim
Chesham Open Air Pool is described as a "beautifully kept heated outdoor pool" that's open all year round from 6am on weekdays and 8am at weekends.
The heated 25-metre open-air pool has changing rooms and hot showers but guests are asked to come 'swim ready'.
One guest said: "Lovely open-air pool, my favourite place to swim. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Changing rooms and showers are all the extras you need at a pool and this has both!"
