A proposal to build 26 homes in Graveley has been granted planning permission.

Ten market-rate homes will be included in the development, as well as ten homes that will be affordable, according to the government definition of the term.

Built on land off Milksey Lane, ten properties will be two-bedroom, with nine three-bedroom properties, six four-bedroom properties and one one-bedroom property.

Most would be detached or semi-detached, with some maisonettes too.

The site is partly within a conservation area, but is not in the Green Belt.

Planning officers determined that "the principle of residential development" on the site is acceptable.

Councillors signed off the plans at a meeting of North Herts Council's Planning Control Committee last week. All ten councillors voted in favour of granting permission.
