A driver has been assaulted after a road rage incident on the A1(M) near Letchworth.

The incident took place on Friday, July 19, at the Letchworth Gate junction of the A1(M), where there was a confrontation between two drivers.

The confrontation, which occurred between 2.30pm and 3pm, involved the drivers of a white Ford Transit Connect with a roof rack and a black Audi A6.

It is reported that one of the drivers assaulted the other and damaged their vehicle, though no injuries where sustained.

Sergeant Jordan Quicke, from the North Herts Intervention Team, said: "I am appealing for any information from the public relating to this incident. If you were travelling in the area at this time, please check your dashcam.

"Please email me with any information you have as it could help our enquiries. We are particularly interested in any dashcam footage anyone may have. Please send any information to jordan.quicke@herts.police.uk."
