A planning application to turn Letchworth's former HSBC branch into flats and retail units has been approved.
The plans, submitted by Vishal Luthra, proposed retaining the ground floor of the Station Place building as a retail space, while two flats would be built on the first floor.
The flats will be one two-bedroom flat and one one-bedroom property, while an existing concrete staircase will provide access.
No objections were received to the application, with North Herts Council approving the plans earlier this month.
HSBC announced the closure of its Station Place branch back in January 2021, and the unit has been vacant ever since.
