A pub in Stevenage has reopened following a refurbishment and change in management.
The Marquis of Lorne in the High Street was the subject of a petition last year, when then-leaseholders Jackie and Sarah were told by Greene King that their lease would not be renewed.
Now, the pub is run by an "over the moon" Mark Teare and Natasha Thomas, who previously worked for Pontins, a holiday park operator.
“Our vision is for The Marquis to be the heart of the community on the High Street. So, we’ll be sure to have lots of entertainment and community events," Mark and Natasha said.
Following a £260,000 refurbishment, the Marquis of Lorne has become a 'Nest Pub' - the sixth hostelry to take part in owner Greene King's 'drinks first' concept.
All the live sporting action will be shown on Sky Sports and TNT Sports, and there will be a regular programme of live music, karaoke and pub quizzes too.
Alongside the standard drinks, coffee will be served as well as a range of pizzas.
New decorations, fixtures and fittings have been installed, including a new bar and seating.
Outside, the pub's signage has been upgraded, as has the pub garden so it can be enjoyed all year round.
On tap, punters can enjoy a unique cask ale called 'The Lorne's Pale Ale' as well as craft beers, popular lagers, and more.

Mark and Natasha said: “The pub has had a big investment of £260,000, so no stone has been left unturned in terms of upgrading it, but keeping some of the key features and heritage.
"It looks absolutely stunning from the beer garden to the bar. We cannot wait to welcome people back to the new and improved pub!”
Alex De Araujo, business development manager for Greene King Pub Partners, said: “Our £260,000 investment has transformed The Marquis of Lorne into a truly special pub. Run by franchisees Mark and Natasha, I am really excited to see the pub excel as a hub for the local community for years to come.
“As a Nest Pub – The Marquis will be all about great drink, great service and great experience. It will show all the live sport and will provide tasty pizzas as a food option for pub goers looking for a bite to eat.”
