Two men suffered stab wounds during a huge brawl in Hertfordshire last night, which broke out after England lost to Spain in the final of Euro 2024.

Millions around the UK watched on as the Three Lions lost 2-1 on Sunday, but violence quickly broke out in Hertford town centre after the full-time whistle.

Footage captured in Market Street shows large groups of England fans kicking and punching each other during the violent altercation that quickly spiralled out of control.

Police were called to a number of incidents across the town, and later confirmed that two men were stabbed, with one taken to hospital after suffering a wound to his chest.

Three men, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of affray.

"We responded to numerous fights and disorder in Hertford town centre yesterday evening after receiving a large number of calls from members of the public," read a statement from Herts police.

"One man was taken to hospital with a knife injury to his chest and a second man received a knife wound.

"We have have set up a portal where members of the public can upload mobile phone footage of the incidents at https://orlo.uk/ad5Sk to establish exactly what happened between 9.30pm and 11pm."
