Two sisters, aged just three and six, have set their sights on climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money for Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth.
Lola and Immie Evans, who live in Stotfold, will set off on their challenge to climb the highest mountain in Wales with their parents on July 27, and have already raised more than £300.
Their proud mum, Harriet, said: "Lola, who is six, and Immie, who is three, wanted to take on a challenge this summer. They quickly decided that climbing a mountain was just the thing! After Lola's initial suggestion of climbing Mount Everest, Lola and Immie soon settled for Snowdon.
"Lola said she would like to raise money for a charity that helps older people with mobility. Lola and Immie's great grandad is in a wheelchair and Lola understands how frustrating this can be for him and others alike.
"After speaking with their great grandad, the girls decided to raise money for a very worthwhile cause - Garden House Hospice Care.
"They want him to be able to walk again, which isn't going to happen, but he told them that the hospice offers a lot of rehabilitation programmes."
The girls have been training hard for the challenge, walking in Pegsdon Hills and walking repeatedly up and down the stairs at home.
Harriet explained: "My husband and I are very active, so they've seen us train for various events. Now, they want to experience it for themselves.
"We think it will take us all day to climb Snowdon, but they are really determined to do it.
"They are really looking forward to it. I just hope we get clear views, so they can see what they have accomplished but, equally, being up in the clouds is great."
When asked what they're most looking forward to, Immie said "climbing the mountain", and Lola, who is a pupil at St Mary's Church of England Academy in Stotfold, said "the shop at the top!"
