A car park in Stevenage is set to temporarily close on July 15 to allow Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras to be installed.
Daneshill car park, near the bus station and Arts and Leisure Centre, will see the new technology installed, along with new barriers and a new pay station.
The new system will be the same as that installed previously at the St George’s Way and Railway North Multi-Storey car parks. A spokesperson for Stevenage Borough Council said they hope it will provide "a more efficient parking experience for customers".
The car park will reopen on July 22.
The spokesperson added: "We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our car parking facilities.
"While the Daneshill car park is closed for these upgrades it is advisable to park in either Swingate, Westgate or St George’s Way Multi-Storey car parks.

Cllr Lloyd Briscoe, cabinet member for economy, skills and transport, said: “Providing convenient car parking is really important to everyone living, working and visiting Stevenage.
"We’re working hard to upgrade the systems in our car parks to Automatic Number Plate Recognition, providing a more efficient service for our customers.
"Please bear with us while the Daneshill car park is closed so these enhancements can be completed.”
