New data has revealed a number of recent UFO sightings in Hertfordshire, with mysterious lights spotted over Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth.
UFO Identified has released information about every strange sighting in towns across the UK throughout 2023 and 2024, with four incidents reported in our county.
1. Lights over Letchworth
At around 8pm on October 10, 2023, one Letchworth looked up the skies and spotted something strange.
They reported seeing "four faint white lights moving slowly in different directions", with two much brighter than the other.
The lights also "all seemed to disappear then reappear", with the incident lasting around 30 minutes.
2. Disappearing Stevenage object
In a report to the National UFO Reporting Centre, one Stevenage resident said they saw something strange flying above the town at 10.30pm on August 16, 2023.
They described seeing an "object" with "three white lights which changed to one single light".
They also reported that the light "stayed in one position before seeming to disappear".
3. Hitchin invasion
At around 7.30am on February 27 this year, one Hitchin resident spotted more than one UFO.
They told the National UFO Reporting Centre that they had seen "multiple objects flashing a warm yellow-white light in a fairly slow pulsating manner".
They also said that it "hovered for long periods before moving".
4. A1(M) sighting
On January 19, one motorist on the A1(M) near Stevenage reported a strange sighting.
At around 7.30pm, they spotted "multiple white lights with flashing red and green lights".
They described what they had seen as being "silent and moving north along the road".
