Temporary traffic lights will be operating along a section of a major road in Hitchin this week, while works to the footway are carried out.
Hertfordshire Highways are carrying out footway reconstruction works along a section of Fishponds Road - between Bedford Road and Bunyan Road.
The work outside Wilshere-Dacre Junior School began today (Monday) and is expected to end on Friday.
From 9.30am to 3pm each day, there will be two-way traffic signals to allow for traffic flow.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Highways said: "We'll be resurfacing the existing surface to maintain and improve the footway.
"Please allow additional time for your journey, and thank you for your patience."
