A car has been banned from the road after it was stopped by police on the A1(M) at Stevenage due to its condition.

Police officers found that the black Audi had glass in the front of the car that only allowed 19% of light in, when the legal requirement is 70%.

The officers also found that a tyre was so bald that it had cord and ply exposed, as well as a large bulge in it.

To compound matters, the car had no MOT. It had expired in March.

The vehicle is prohibited from the road and the driver has been reported.
