More than 20 vehicles were stopped by police in Baldock on Friday, as speed checks were carried out at two locations in the town.
The checks were carried out in response to feedback from members of the public about speeding concerns in the area.
PCSO Josh Maley and PC Luke Cummins, from the Letchworth and Baldock Neighbourhood Policing Team, carried out speed checks in the High Street and London Road.
They issued tickets and spoke to drivers about the dangers of speeding.
Hertfordshire police say they are committed to reducing 'Fatal 5' accidents.
The 'Fatal 5' road safety campaign seeks to reduce careless driving, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, excessive speed and distracted driving, including mobile phone use.
