North Herts voters have had their say, and Labour now hold 25 seats on the council - just shy of the 26 needed to gain overall control.

Liberal Democrats came out fighting and hold 19 seats following North Herts Council's all-out election, which followed Boundary Commission changes.

Ahead of Thursday's polls the council was made up of 49 members, with an additional three seats up for grabs.

The 49 seats were held by 19 Labour councillors, 15 Liberal Democrat and 15 Conservative following the 2023 election.

Now, the council is made up of 25 Labour councillors, up six, 19 Liberal Democrat up four and seven Conservatives, down eight.
