Visitors can explore 'Hidden Ashwell' at the annual Ashwell at Home event later this month.
The event takes place on Sunday, May 12, with villagers opening their homes and gardens from 11am to 5pm.
Visitors can buy a wristband for £10 (£9 if bought in advance from the event's website) which will allow them to explore the exhibitions, talks, music, dance, art and craft workshops, and open gardens.
The open gardens range in size from tiny courtyards to large country houses, with all sizes in between.
Ashwell's town crier will be on hand in his traditional gear to point people in the right direction and answer questions.
A description from the organisers reads: "Ashwell itself is a village hidden over the hills and over the watershed from the rest of the county of Hertfordshire.
"It is also a village full of hidden surprises and you will have a rare chance to share some of its many interesting and delightful features."
Entry is free for under 18s if accompanied by a paying adult, with free parking in the village.
Proceeds from Ashwell at Home will go towards Ashwell Village Museum, Ashwell Primary School, Ashwell Pre-School and St Mary's Church.
