Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision between two vehicles at the A602/Charlton Road junction in Hitchin yesterday (Tuesday, April 23).
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to reports of an accident, shortly before 7.30pm, sending a fire engine from Hitchin fire station.
Nobody was trapped or hurt, so firefighters made the scene safe.
They were joined by colleagues from Hertfordshire police, who found that a BMW 1 series and Dacia Logan had collided.
A spokesperson for the police confirmed that it was a "damage-only collision", with no reported injuries.

There have been two serious crashes at the junction already this year.
In January, teenager Oliver Gatfield tragically died following a crash there, with his friend Liam Sharpe left seriously injured.
It prompted a petition by Liam's sisters to make the road safer.
In February, another crash at the junction saw somebody hospitalised with injuries described as "serious".
On that occasion, firefighters had to extract two people from vehicles, and an air ambulance was also called to the scene.
