Swans are nesting in Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage, prompting the local authority to issue a warning.

A spokesperson for Stevenage Borough Council said: "Lovely news - we have swans nesting at Fairlands Valley Park.

"To help support them, it's really important that you please keep your dog on a lead while passing their nest, and do not approach too closely or startle them.
