A Stevenage man set to run the London Marathon with a fridge strapped to his back has so far raised more than £10,000 for Diabetes UK, and last week appeared on the BBC's Have I Got News For You.
Nicknaming the appliance 'Tallulah', Daniel Fairbrother is aiming to beat the world record for the fastest marathon while carrying a household appliance.
The world record currently sits at four hours, 52 minutes and 10 seconds.
Daniel started running two-and-a-half years ago, and was inspired to take on this challenge by his friend, Sam, who lives with type 1 diabetes.
Ahead of the London Marathon on Sunday, Daniel has so far raised £10,071 - smashing his initial £2,100 target.
He said: "I can’t believe it! None of this would have been possible without the support of everyone. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
"I’m so close [to the event] and just need to keep pushing forward now."
Daniel has become well-known in Stevenage, spotted by many while out training with Tallulah on his back.
On Friday, he grabbed national attention when he appeared on Have I Got News For You.
In 'the odd one out' round of the panel show, an image of Daniel Fairbrother was featured alongside images of the Post Office, The Winslow Boy and Air Force One.
The odd one out transpired to be Air Force One, as the rest have all been wrongly accused of stealing.
Daniel was stopped by police on one of his early runs with the 25kg fridge, but once he had explained the challenge, the officers realised he wasn't stealing the appliance.
Meanwhile, journalists have been asked to stop stealing items from Air Force One - from cushions and pillowcases to glasses, cups and plates - following an inventory check in February.
Daniel, who is set to appear on The One Show on BBC One on Friday, is putting in the final preparations before the London Marathon on Sunday.

Daniel said: "If you can donate anything towards my fundraising for Diabetes UK, it will make such a difference to an amazing charity, and will make me feel better when I'm 20 miles into the marathon and slowly getting crushed by a fridge!
"Please, please dig deep people and help make a difference."
