There are plans to extend the clubhouse at Stevenage Sports Club in North Road.
A planning application has been submitted to Stevenage Borough Council for a single storey extension to the existing clubhouse, and provision of ramped access with assisting balustrade.
Applicant Steve Mudd, the facilities manager at the sports club, says the proposed extension is "small" and "not extensively seen from a public highway".
The extension would be clad with the same type of timber as the existing clubhouse, the application says.
Stevenage Sports Club, which is home to Stevenage Town Rugby Football Club, was established in 1995.
