The Bowman's Mill site in Ickleford is up for sale after planning permission was granted for up to 71 new homes on the site.
The former flour mill closed in 2016, and although developers proposed the application in 2017, plans were only approved by North Herts Council last month.
Now, the 9.17 acre site is up for sale, having been listed on the market by estate agents Savills.

"We’re delighted to be playing a role in bringing this important site back into use and we’re looking forward to seeing how the plans for the project take shape," said Abigail Jones, director in the development team at Savills in Cambridge.
"It’s an excellent opportunity to deliver high quality homes on previously developed land outside of the greenbelt within the village boundary.
"Ickleford is an attractive village that is well connected to the surrounding area – just a short distance from the likes of Hitchin and Cambridge, with good access to plenty of amenities including a village store, several pubs, primary school and sports facilities – so we’re already seeing strong interest."
Under the terms of the outline planning permission, the new properties would be made up of two and three-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses.
Several redundant buildings including siloes, sheds and office space would also be demolished.
Savills is inviting offers for the site until 12pm on Thursday, May 2. For more details contact Abigail Jones on 01223 347094 or email AJones@savills.com
