A volunteering organisation in Hertfordshire is taking part in a careers fair hosted by the NHS for refugees and those facing employment barriers.
GoVolHerts will appear at the fair, which takes place at the Holiday Inn in Stevenage and is supported by the UN Refugee Agency and Indeed.
The fair will be held from 10am to 5pm on Thursday, March 14.
The event aims to connect attendees to services in their area and to introduce them to the numerous job opportunities available within the NHS.
GoVolHerts' volunteer development lead Tatiana said: "GoVolHerts understand that volunteering is often a route into expanding skill sets, gaining confidence and experience, and keeping skills fresh, which can enhance job prospects and opportunities.
"We are proud to support the local community to break down barriers and find opportunities that work for them."
The event will also have representatives from trusts, and employment groups like Indeed, Job Centre Plus, and National Careers Service.
There will also be organisations, including the Department for Work and Pensions and North Herts College, with the goal of encouraging attendees to find a role within the NHS.
Details to register and related information can be found on the GoVolHerts website or by emailing info@govolherts.org.uk.
