A planning application has been submitted to Stevenage Borough Council for permission to turn a former family centre into a laundrette.
The applicant wants to open a laundrette at 5 The Hyde in Stevenage, taking down a partition wall to create more space.
The 88sqm unit is currently vacant, with the borough council advertising its availability since June last year, asking for rent of £15,875 per year.
The planning application to turn the unit into a laundrette, which was received by the council on Thursday last week, is set to be determined by April 11, at the latest.
