A volunteer litter picker has expressed anger and frustration after helping to clear people's rubbish from roads into Weston village.
Michele Moody said: "Weston village has just finished its biannual litter pick. We have five incoming roads and we try to clear all of them. It’s a thankless task and one that makes us all angry.
"Who are these louts who throw their rubbish away like this? Who are the drink drivers, and who is the rogue postman who dumps his stash in the hedge?
"The cans are nearly 100 per cent high alcoholic drinks.
"The mail will be dealt with by Royal Mail, we hope. Who knows what important hospital appointment or bank details are in these dumped letters?
"It is depressing and it is highly unlikely that any of these unsociable people will be caught."
