Works that are currently affecting Canterbury Way in Stevenage are set to last until early next week.
The Cadent Gas works began at 10.20am on Monday (January 29) and are scheduled to continue until 11.59pm next Tuesday (February 6).
The works, near Great Ashby, have been described as "utility repair and maintenance works", and delays are "likely".
Traffic has been affecting residents in the area, with "multi-way signals" in place, as a measure of traffic control.

A footway is currently closed in the area, with an alternative footpath provided.
A number of road closures are also affecting residents in Rectory Lane, North Road, Coreys Mill Lane and Chancellors Road.
These works are due to last until Friday, February 16.
