A broken down lorry has caused delays on the A1(M) near Stevenage and Hitchin.
The incident took place prior to 8.32am this morning (Monday, January 21) on the road's southbound carriageway.
The HGV blocked one lane between Junction 8 for Hitchin and Junction 7 for Stevenage, with six miles of congestion reported by National Highways.

Delays of around an hour were experienced by motorists at the time.
All lanes were reopened at around 8:59am, with 30 minute delays remaining in the area.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: "All lanes are now open on the A1(M) southbound between J8 Hitchin and J7 Stevenage.
"Delays of 30 minutes remain but this will start to ease now.
