The UK's largest zoo is unveiling a unique overnight experience for children.
Whipsnade Zoo, near Dunstable, is welcoming children to partake in slumber parties at the zoo's Hullabazoo indoor play area starting from Monday, January 15.
The experience welcomes groups of 20 or more and will be hosted in the heart of the Bedfordshire-based conservation zoo, near Hertfordshire.
Catherine Howes, Whipsnade Zoo’s visitor experiences manager, said: “Whipsnade Zoo is a magical place to spend the night and what better way that to have exclusive access to our soft play area all evening and book a Hullaba-snooze experience.
“We’re offering large groups of families and friends, school groups, or cubs and brownies the opportunity to exclusively book the overnight experience.
“As part of the special experience, we’re pleased to offer tailored tours to meet the specific interests of the group or help complete a badge that uniformed groups are working towards.”
After the zoo closes its doors to the general public, young participants get the chance to play in the Hullabazoo area before embarking on an animal-themed treasure hunt guided by an entertaining zoo host from the ZSL team.
Evenings will be complemented by colouring and crafting activities where children can make a memorable keepsake from their stay.
They will then settle down for a bedtime story and an overnight stay within the vibrant soft play area.
Participants can then enjoy a morning packed with activities, kicking off with more action in the soft play area before they embark on a guided tour spotting the early rising animals.
