An embroiderer who worked on vestments worn by the clergy at the coronation of King Charles III has been awarded a medal at Westminster Abbey.
Jane Pavey, the president of the Inner Wheel Club of Letchworth Garden City, is a member of the Guild of St Faith - an elite group of embroiderers who meet weekly at Westminster Abbey to repair and maintain vestments worn by the clergy for special occasions such as royal weddings and funerals, and most recently the coronation.
Jane has now received the Coronation Medal from the Reverend Robert Latham, the sacrist at Westminster Abbey, for the part she played in the preparation for King Charles III's coronation in May last year.
