Firefighters tackled a blaze at the Ibis hotel in Stevenage town centre last night, with people staying there evacuated from the high-rise building.
Fire crews from Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock, Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn and Hertford attended the scene.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said "crews worked extremely hard and quickly to extinguish the fire, while assisting residents with evacuating the building."
