Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and speeding are the two new Safer Neighbourhood Team priorities for Hitchin Urban.
Following feedback from residents, it was agreed that the ASB in Bancroft Park and speeding on Grove Road, Cambridge Road and Fishponds Road will gain additional focus over the coming months.
Safer Neighbourhood Team’s (SNT) are tasked with fixing short and long-term neighbourhood issues such as anti-social behaviour and speeding.
Hitchin Urban SNT Sergeant Taz Gill, said: “Thank you to everyone who has submitted their contributions through echo, the constabulary’s community voice platform, or the OWL survey as part of the priority setting forum process, we have had an overwhelming response.
“This shows a real engagement from the local community who want to do their part in improving the quality of life for all in the Hitchin Urban area.”
Following action by the neighbourhood team, the priorities will be reviewed in four months’ time.
