Hertfordshire police are investigating after a dog attacked another dog in Hitchin.
The dog that was attacked suffered bite injuries, and its owner was also injured as they fell to the ground while trying to separate the two dogs.
The incident occurred on Hermitage Road at around 8pm on Saturday, November 25.
The dog that was injured was on its lead when it was reportedly approached by its attacker, a small and mostly white dog described as a bulldog-type that was off its lead.
After the incident, the owner of the dog that bit the other dog left the scene on their red mobility scooter before any details could be taken. They are described as an elderly woman who was wearing a black puffer coat.
