Hertfordshire police are investigating after two shop windows were damaged in Letchworth on Saturday, December 16.
A police spokesperson told the Comet that while they had initially received reports that shots may have been fired, there is currently no evidence to suggest that is the case.
Instead, they believe that the shop windows were damaged by objects "directed" at them and are now treating the incident as criminal damage.
