Tim Burton has confirmed that filming for Beetlejuice 2 has finished, with scenes for the highly-anticipated movie shot in Hitchin.
In an Instagram post, the director confirmed that the final shots for the film has been captured, after delays were caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike.
"Just finished shooting Beetlejuice. Thank you to everyone involved," he wrote.
Burton had told the Independent that just "a day and a half" was needed to complete the film before the strike, adding: "We know what we have to do. It is 99 per cent done."
Among the locations used for the film was the former Princess Helena College site in Preston, a school closed to students in 2021.

The Comet was among the first to report on the filming, following rumours and plenty of excitement that scenes for Beetlejuice 2 were being shot.
The rumours were confirmed on May 18, when we published pictures of Winona Ryder, who is reprising her role as Lydia Deetz, showing her sitting in the passenger seat of a Tesla leaving the disused school.
Then, in July, Jenna Ortega, who is playing Lydia Deetz's daughter, was spotted at an unconfirmed location in Hertfordshire, wearing what appeared to be a wedding dress and veil.
The 20-year-old star was spotted arm-in-arm with actor Filipe Cates, while Ryder was also on set once again for the filming.
Ryder and Ortega are among a star-studded cast, including Michael Keaton returning as Beetlejuice, Willem Dafoe, Catherine O'Hara, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux.
The plot for the sequel to the 1980s classics has been a closely guarded secret, and with fans knowing very little so far, plenty will be keeping a close eye out for the films trailer.
Beetlejuice 2 is currently set to hit theatres on September 6, 2024, but according to Variety, it could be pushed back to 2025, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood.
The film could be among the Warner Bros. productions at risk of delay, although Beetlejuice 2 was not mentioned by name in the report.
