A Mercedes which police believe to have been stolen has been seized after it was driven the wrong way down a one-way system in Hitchin.
The occupants of the white car had tried to escape officers at around 2am on Wednesday morning (November 29), before it was abandoned on the A505 Bedford Road.
Prior to this, a blue Skoda was stopped at approximately 1.15am on Norton Road, Letchworth.
The vehicle was seized after the driver provided false insurance documents, with the car's registration number written on a "dodgy cover letter".
