A Nissan Juke and a Seat Leon have been involved in a crash that caused the closure of Bedford Road in Hitchin.
The incident took place at around 10.47am this morning (Thursday, November 23), with heavy traffic resulting in the town centre.
One of the vehicles had rolled onto its roof following the collision, trapping an occupant.
Teams from Hertfordshire Constabulary, the East of England Ambulance Service and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

The road was reopened at 11.57am, and one person has been taken to hospital for "further assessment and care".
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "One ambulance was sent to Old Park Road Hitchin this morning following reports of a road traffic collision.
"One patient was transported to Lister Hospital for further assessment and care."
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary added: "Police were called at around 10.47am today to report a road traffic collision on Bedford Road in Hitchin between a white Seat Leon and a red Nissan Juke.
"Bedford Road was closed while emergency services responded at the scene, the road was re-opened at 11.57am."
Lastly, a spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service commented: "Fire engines from Hitchin and Stevenage were sent to the scene, where crews found two vehicles that had collided in the road, with one car on its roof.
"One person was unable to get out of the car due to its position, so firefighters worked to release them safely before handing them over to the ambulance service and making the scene safe."
