A 51-year-old woman has been hospitalised following a crash on the A505 near Hitchin.
The collision, involving a BMW 116d and a Peugeot 208, took place on Moormead Hill at around 7.26am this morning.
Hertfordshire police, the fire service and ambulance service all attended the scene.
A 51-year-old woman from Sleaford, Hampshire, was taken to hospital by paramedics with slight injuries.
The road was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
