Emergency roadworks on St George's Way have caused the closure of the road's northbound carriageway, and a build up of traffic around Stevenage town centre.
Works began this morning (Wednesday, November 15), with heavy congestion resulting on the A602.
Access to the St George's Way multi-storey car park is restricted northbound, with only the southbound entrance accessible to motorists.
A statement released by Hertfordshire County Council reads: "Delays: Stevenage A602, Monkswood Way.
