The Letchworth community turned out in droves to pay their respects and remember the fallen on Remembrance Sunday yesterday.
The town's Royal British Legion branch attended the war memorial in Station Place from 10.30am, ready for a two-minute silence at 11am, before the laying of wreaths.
This was followed by a church service at 11.30am at the Free Church in Leys Avenue.
Branch chairman Nigel Kenworthy said: "I would like to say thank you to all who attended the Letchworth Remembrance service, from the general public, all cadets forces and groups, scouts, girl guides, to the support from Love Letchworth manager Richard Harbon and the council for the help with road closures.
"Thanks also go to Clare Morgan and staff, the church and Elizabeth Bunker, Peter Wilcox for taking the service, the Salvation Army for the music and Concept Events for the sound system."
