A nursery in Hitchin is celebrating after receiving an outstanding rating from Ofsted.
Highbury Lodge Day Nursery received the rating following an inspection October 3, with the inspector praising the "expert support" from devoted staff, who "make the most of every learning opportunity, even when these are spontaneous and unplanned".
The nursery staff were lauded for their communication skills, and making sure that "children of all ages remained thoroughly engrossed in the motivating and interesting activities on offer".
The inspector also admired how "the wellbeing of staff and the families who attend the setting were paramount to the dedicated leadership team", who recognise the challenges being faced by both and "respond to these with immense compassion".
The report has put smiles on faces at Highbury Lodge Day Nursery, with manager, Kirsty Rose, saying: "We’re over the moon to have received this judgement from Ofsted once again.
