A junior school in Stevenage is setting up a food bank after realising "many" of its pupils' families are struggling financially.
Giles Junior School is trialling its own food bank within the school, with parents or carers able to refer themselves for the service.
Headteacher Louise Whitby said: "We are continuously striving to look at new ways we can support our lovely school community.

The school is asking those families in a position to, to donate non-perishable items to its food bank.
"We hope it will be a huge success," Miss Whitby said.
