Stevenage residents have been warned about an apparent door-to-door scam.
Residents have reported that a person has been knocking on doors in Chells, pretending to be a representative of Marriotts School and asking for donations for new school equipment.
Hertfordshire police have spoken to the school, and confirmed that the person is not associated with them.
Police are advising residents to remain vigilant, and avoid giving money or personal bank details to strangers.
