Herts police are investigating after people reportedly approached addresses in Stevenage with torches.

The alleged incidents took place around William Place in Shephall between the evening of Sunday, September 10 and the early hours of Monday, September 11.

It is reported that the people with torches may have climbed over fences into residents' gardens during the incident.

PC Lukas Haase, investigating, said: “We are trying to establish exactly what happened around William Place during the evening of Sunday 10 September and early morning on Monday 11 September?
