Police are investigating after two men were involved in an altercation in Stevenage yesterday (Saturday), with one man reportedly stabbed and taken to hospital.
It was reported that two men were involved in an altercation in Ripon Road at around 5pm, with one of them injured, Hertfordshire police have confirmed, adding that the injured man was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injury is not believed to be life-changing.
A resident told the Comet that the man had been stabbed, but this has not been confirmed by police.
Officers searched the area, but the suspect was not located. Inquiries are ongoing.
Chief Inspector Kio Bozorgi said: "I understand this incident will worry local residents, but the men involved were known to each other and our investigation is progressing.
"If anyone has any information, dash cam footage or CCTV of the area at the time, please contact police quoting ISR 627 of 30/9."
