Emergency services rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Hitchin yesterday evening.

Police were called at 5.23pm to reports of a collision in Willian Road, involving a black Honda Civic and a blue Ford Focus.

The ambulance and fire services were also called following concern that a person was trapped inside one of the vehicles, with road closures were put in place whilst the incident was dealt with.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were sustained and recovery was arranged for the Honda.

"Police were called at 5.23pm yesterday (Tuesday, September 26) to reports of a collision in Willian Road," said a Herts police spokeswoman.

"Two vehicles were involved – a black Honda Civic and a blue Ford Focus.

"The ambulance and fire services were also called following concern that one person was trapped in a car.

"Road closures were put in place whilst the incident was dealt with.

"No serious injuries were sustained.

"Recovery was arranged for the Honda."
