A man has been arrested after reportedly damaging a Stevenage pub with a hammer.
At around 2.50pm on Saturday, September 23, police were called to reports of affray at Fishers Green in Stevenage.
Reportedly, a man had used a hammer to damage two glass doors at the Fisherman Pub before leaving the location.
Police officers attended the scene, and conducted an extensive search of the area alongside colleagues from the Dog Unit.
They then arrested a 42-year-old man from Stevenage on suspicion of:
- Two counts of criminal damage
- Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
- Common assault of an emergency worker
- Affray
He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
