Plans have been submitted for a new bar in Hitchin that would serve "premium craft beer" to thirsty punters.
The planning application proposes for a craft beer tasting room and off-licence at 3 Brand Street, the unit formerly occupied by TSB and next to Natwest.
Owain Rhys of Syched Ltd has submitted the plans, having already had a similar business approved in the former Hawkins of Hitchin department store building.
According to the application, the business would "meet local demand for use as a craft beer tasting room", and "Syched Ltd is the future leaseholder of the site address".
"The venue will be suited to customers who want to enjoy experiencing premium craft beer and a small selection of premium wine and spirits in a safe and respectful environment," it continues.

"Premium packaged alcohol beverages will be offered as an off-licence service."
Possible concerns are also addressed, with he application adding: "Noise levels will remain relatively low due to the type of venue. Boisterous behaviour will not be tolerated.
"There will not be any promotions, such as time limited discounts, in order to discourage irresponsible drinking."
The tasting room is set to span over two floors, with the ground and first floor both being used.
