Restaurants across Hertfordshire, including popular spots in Stevenage, Hitchin and St Albans, have been shortlisted for the Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.

The second annual awards ceremony will be held at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane in Piccadilly, on Sunday, November 5, with plenty of our restaurants hoping to win big at the red-carpet event.

IBO'S Bar & Restaurant in Hitchin's High Street is shortlisted for both Best Designed Restaurant and Best Turkish Restaurant Regional, but they'll face competition for the latter award from Lavish in Stevenage.

Another Stevenage business hoping for success is Tarla Restaurant, shortlisted in Just Eat Best Delivery, while chef Adem Kutlutemur is up for Chef of the Year.

There will be local competition in the Customer Satisfaction category, with St Albans' Aspava, and Opuz Hemel Hempstead both up for the award.
