The world-famous Red Arrows are coming to Battle of Britain Airshow at IWM Duxford later this month.
Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will be sure to wow the crowds in Cambridgeshire with their daring display when they take to the skies on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17.
As well as the Red Arrows, the displays will feature more than 60 vintage and contemporary aircraft, including a flypast of 12 Spitfires and four Hurricanes to commemorate the brave servicemen and women who risked their lives to defend Britain in the summer of 1940.
There will also be an historic moment, when the last airworthy B-17 Flying Fortress in Europe - known as 'Sally B' - will fly alongside the RAF's Avro Lancaster, the first time the two iconic Second World War bombers have done so in more than 20 years, and the first time ever at Duxford.
Meanwhile on the ground, crowds will be transported to the sights and sounds of the summer of 1940, with a cast of wartime characters recreating the daily life of RAF Duxford as a Battle of Britain Fighter Station.
Visitors can dress up in vintage attire, dance to wartime music, get their hair done in the style of the era and hear the stories of those who lived and served at the historic base.
The ticket price includes access to IWM's Duxford exhibitions and hangars throughout the day.
